Child Fares No charge will be made for up to four children under 5 years of age if accompanied by an adult passenger and provided he/she does not occupy a seat required by a fare-paying passenger. Children between their 5th and 16th birthdays pay the child fare. Within the Swindon Urban Area children over the age of 13 are expected to show proof of age (eg. Citizen Card) in order to obtain child fare. Holders of 16-18 Citizen Cards may travel at child fare AFTER 1800 on schooldays and ALL DAY at weekends and on school holidays. Child tickets are not issued after 2200 hours daily. Child return, Child Day Rider and Student Travelpass are valid for travel after 2200. Youngsters can save money on bus fares with a Student Travelpass
